    Japanese Vetran organization

Can anyone tell me are those wordings about a Japanese veteran organization?
If so, which one as the name seems to be in the broken part?
    Thanks.

    Hi Mr. Chen,

Yes, you are correct, it is for a "time expired" veteran.

    帝国在郷軍人会
    Teikoku Zaikyō Gunjin-kai

Here's the Japanese Wiki page, perhaps you can sort out the kanji into Chinese.

    世田谷南部
    Setagaya Minami Bukai
    Setagaya South Chapter
Setagaya is a sub-city in Tokyo
Here's the 中文 page about Setagaya

    Cheers!

Does anybody have a point of reference for the value of a flag like this?

Thanks for all of the great info.

There were no "time expired veteran" organizations in Japan.

              帝国在郷軍人会 should be translated as

              Imperial Military Reservist Association

              See for example https://www.jstor.org/stable/2052989...n_tab_contents

                  Hello BSL:
Try a google search for current prices. From my
ref files I note the following WW2 vet flag prices.
                  1. Two flags, pre-2000 acq'd, OFW Collection, $500 USD ea.
                  2. Good shape, UK listed & sold 2009, 260 BPS, ~$390 USD.
                  3. Mint shape, US online listed 2011, $1095 USD. Sold ???
                  4. Blank Lower Corner, Manions 2012, 20 bids, $285 USD.
                  OFW
(below) #3 mint @$1095 USD, & other >$ in more typical condition.

Wow, that is very helpful OFW, I really apprecite it. I also really like the example pictured with the pole and topper.

Thank you JapanX for the alternate translation and link to the info on the organization. I was incorrectly assuming it was an all veterans organization.

                    You all are great!

Thanks Nick. I was gently corrected once for calling it the Imperial Military Reservist Association ... and was told the accepted term is "time expired." I'm guessing it was similar to our veteran service organizations The American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars.

                      Again THANKS!

Interesting comments. From the post #7, jstor link, I
note that the "Imperial Military Reservist Association(s)"
numbered "14,000", and had "three million volunteer
members, half of whom had no military experience."
As such I wonder about the following questions:
                        a) Did this IMRA organization exist after WW2 ?
                        b) Would there be 14,000+ IMRA flags made ?
                        c) What do
Suikosha (WW2) IJN Vet flags look like ?
                        d) What do the Kaikosha* Army Vet flags look like ?
(*) "An organization name meaning “let’s go together”
or “we shall fight this war side by side,” and derives
from a line in an old Chinese poem ..."

Sorry, have no idea since I am not really into flags.
More like medals, badges, etc. That kinda stuff )
