    Japanese Dagger ID Help

Just picked this up yesterday. I have had many Imperial Navy daggers, but I have not seen this plain type before and it has a backstrap. I do not believe it is a Naval dagger. The peg is old horn and it has been there forever. The blade appears to be machine made.

Can anyone help with the proper identification?

    Thank you,
    Bob Hritz

              Guys Lifetime Membership

I agree whole hardheartedly. Guy as always been a staunch supporter of helping forum Members learn and appreciate this often neglected area of collecting in a positive and nurturing light. A Lifetime membership would be most appropriate.

Thank you Guy for all the help and inspiration!!

I just put a PM question to Daniel, moderator, to find out if this is possible. I'd pitch in to get Guy a lifetime membership, if it is possible.
