Need info on wakazashi

I would appreciate some help with this Wakizashi I purchased some time ago. The blade is 13” long. There is no signature on it. And it’s missing the 2 seppa. My bit of research tells me it could have started out as a Katana but was shortened?
Any info including age and value would help

I've got no expertise in this field. If there were some kanji, then I would have given it a try.

But as an unlearned observer ... I see simply a wakizashi and cannot tell by the photos if it is a shortened katana or not. To my simple eyes, it looks like it was forged as a wakizashi.
