Yours has the original frog minus the two hanging straps.

I just saw another KMT officer dagger on Ebay selling for Canadian $346.61 ... but it has a crease in the lower-third of the scabbard.

And you can buy a repro frog for about $30

I just noticed the medal with a horse's head, the ribbon looks like the Confederate battle flag. What is that -- possibly a U.C.V. Confederate Veterans Reunion Medal?

Went for a look today - actually a Kentucky Kiwanis medal - wouldn't see that given out today!
