Strange grenad

Some time ago this strange grenad was found and blow my mind.
this is looks like some US grenad but found at Japanes trech can't find any simillar
Please help

But why this grenade looks different than all japanese grenade ?

Can't answer that but can tell you most if not all training grenades look nothing like actual grenades
