Certainly, but there were no formal rules concerning the uniform of airmen. The models without fur could be used both in summer and winter.

Simply wash out the dirt in the stamping in the leather on the sole and then the date can be read. Army, Winter, Large

I think I read Showa 16 (1941).

Nice boots, the rubber sole is often worn out or taken off.

I concur - Showa 16 (1941) This pair of boots could have been flown by a Zero pilot during the attack on Pearl harbor on December 7th, 1941!!! Just think of it!!!

No, just kidding But so typical of Dealers or Ebay made up BS story.
First - these are Army pilots boot, not IJN carrier pilot.
Second the Zero is, was and only can be a Navy aircraft. Never, ever,ever used by Army
