Does anyone recognize it? I translate the kanji to Hokuto (Northeast).

I checked with a friend in Japan on this one and this is what he had to offer...

• This is a late WW2 Japanese army insignia.
• I think that a soldier would sew this on his chest.
• I have a similiar one.
• I don't know this unit's place. [ TO - HOKU - 93 - BUTAI ]
