    Ww2 m38 cap?

    Hello
My other item I bought today at a fair, this ww2 m38 cap. I just want to make sure it's real and can anyone tell me what the characters say? I know the star is missing but for £50 I'm not fussed.
    Thanks for any info.

    I'm guessing it's a repro?
    Characters also fake?

Looks ok to me. Family name of Kano on the interior.

Thank you gunto. Would you say it's pretty much a standard officers cap?

Actually now I am starting to have concerns. One issue I raise is that the peak seems to not look so used and more like repainted. Another issue I raise now is, looking at other examples of the same cap, where bits of the wool of the red band comes off, it should show the white inner skeleton of the cap band, buts its red on mine. The 3rd issue I raise is that the sweatband is unusual with parts of the band looking used and other parts looking somewhat new. There seems to be little wear around the cap which makes me a little suspicious. The chinstrap looks a little new and the where the stitching bit is on the peak itself, doesn't look used.If someone can answer my concerns that would help. Thanks.
