    can be read as either Kiyonori or Kiyonobu ... I do not know which pronunciation he used.

      Its my understanding this is a war time (Showa) non-traditional produced blade?

        Yes, he was a war-time smith. Search his name here and you will see he is listed as a Seki smith.

        This site records he received his swordsmith license on 16-04-30 [1941-April-30].

          Does the tang have any small stamps on it? Showa and Seki stamps, when present, usually mean non-traditional manufacturing methods or material. And most Seki blades were non-traditional, but not all. Final note, though, the lack of any stamps doesn't mean it was traditionally made. We would need some closeup shots of the blade, including tip and cutting edge, to better estimate it's manufacture style.
