    Japanes soldier mannequin

Posting a mannequin I have been working on. I really dislike the faces of the commercial mannequins available on the market so Iopted for a torso only. Hope you like it. Uniformed in the 1930's China uniform.

That's a great Looking display. I agree with you, most mannequins don't do it for me. They are either too fake/cheesy looking, or just creepy. That looks classy!

        Great looking display.

I think the mag pouches need to be closer together and they didn't cross the strap on the puttees at that time

Nice setup, it seems like a mix of original and reproduction equipment?

I too don't like mannequins with heads.... and my wife really doesn't like mannequins with heads.

Would like to see your Japanese awards and medal display also?

            Again, great stuff.

The only repro items are the straps for the pack. All other items are original. Almost impossible to find the original straps. Thx for the comments.

Great set up. I also hate mannequin heads, just detracts from the display. J

Japanese mannequins with heads can really be a surplus !

Please have a look at Bruno Franck's earlier posts of his (partly use to be) Japanese collection !
His wonderful looking Japanese mannequins (with those realistic heads) are without any doubt an example of how mannequins (even with a head) could (should) look like !
                  Credit where credit's due !
                  Topnotch Japanese collection !

Thx to all who commented on my mannequin. I strive to get it right, but sometimes miss the mark. I have posted additional photos of the rear of the mannequin.

                      Nice display.

A question: is the collar branch insignia black or dark green?
And are you up for some constructive criticism on making your great display more accurate?

                      Cheers.
                      Matt.

                            Japanese Army Officer

I thought a nice accompaniment to my M1932 uniform would be a M1938. I haven't seen a lot of officers uniforms with the double sleeve stripes of the 1943 regs. Here is a scarce 1943 reg officers uniform. I hope you enjoy. Thanks Tony
