Japanese Army helmet? Original? Opinions, please.

Hello All. This Japanese helmet is outside of my collecting interest. Trying to be fair to my myself, and the family of a deceased friend. Would appreciate opinions on originality and condition. Is this style military, or civil? Value?

Hi,
100% Japanese imperial army helmet. Size large, complete, lot of paint left. The liner broken stitch might be fixed with hemp thread, not a big deal. Value is around $600. Maybe little less due to the broken stitch. Still a very desirable example that will sold easy for sure.

Looks like a nice helmet. The inside painted kanji, looks like it has been repainted ao touched up though.
