I would tend to agree, but, I just returned from Japan and bought flags which were on the ground at flea markets.

You see it all the time, guys selling a 10.000 dollar uniform or helmet, laying it on the gravel and holding it with filthy fingers. Not to mention leaving helmets with fragile liners on manikin heads for years, or using expensive and rare uniforms to play Mr Dress-up/Barbie doll on manikins and leaving them in touch with leather, wood and metal items that will surely cause stains and damage on the long term.
I dont think we have yet has a case of reflectoporn yet on WAF.

You see it all the time with nihonto as well. Touching the blade, slamming it in the saya (or completely missing it, and carving the mouth/opening. One ebay item saw the seller placing the kissaki on CONCRETE while he took a picture.

One recent event I had was when I went on leave a few weeks ago. My AMU modified Remington Rand 1911A1 needed to MSH pin reinstalled correctly. Brought it to a well-known gunsmith shop to see what was the problem. One guy helped for sure, but he used his multitool without any covering and scratched around the metal. Honest mistake, but when you handle other people's items, should have some responsibility about it.
