Hi, I was just wondering how/if I can research a Japanese WW2 soldier? I have the name just no idea how to go about it. I appreciate any help!

Hi and welcome to the forum.
It's not really possible to research an individual Japanese soldier unless you have something more than a name. The majority of army and navy war records were destroyed, either intentionally or became casualties of battle/bombing. The identities of entire small independent units have disappeared, let alone an individual's name serving with one of those. There are army lists on JACAR but not many names, especially for junior ranks. What's left, in this regard, is generally fragmented information in written Japanese.
If you like, you can post what you have. You never know.
