    What do you think?
    Bruce,

I just don't see it. The kanji on the Yasutsugu sword are very distinct and readable, there's nothing similar to the "Na" kanji that I can see.

      BruceP,

Please post a larger image of the three kani area. 800x800 or larger size is preferable.

        Yes, that would greatly help!

The picture is 226x318 in size. Too small. I enlarged the picture to 800 pix, but the image is a blur.

Hello and welcome to the forum.

Regarding the Type 95 IJA NCO swords, can you supply any documentation to support the portion of your post quoted above?

              Thank you.

              Regards,
              Stu
Hi Stu, pleased to be here. Gradually moving to new forums in the search for 95 information.

Documentation no unfortunately. But as I have discussed with a fellow collector of 95's (Stegel, I take it he's known here?), there are multiple examples of these swords with scabbards that are originally black. You can check by removing the scabbard throat and applying an acetone test. All the repaints have the original green or brown on the tab insert. I actually don't have an example in my possession unfortunately, but Stegel does. It'd be good to know if the Seki sword is original or not, because those are rare.
