      You will probably get a quicker answer if you post the tang vertical, and blade, up which is how they are meant to be read.

          Can you show us the dated other side, and the serial number on the backk edge of the tang?

                Thanks! The date is zodiacal kanji dating Fall of 1942. Can't read the top two kanji on the nakago back, bad lighting, but the bottom 2 are 03.
