Interesting to note. It seems this postcard was mailed before the first one posted as it shows the 7th Area Army - “Oka” 岡 over 10903 not the 29th Army - “Tei” 定.

The 12th Independent Defense Unit (including 43rd Independent Infantry Defense Battalion - 10903) was formed under 25th Army Tomi 富, in Sumatra (code numbers 10900-99 distributed to the 25th Army in April 1945), it went to the 7th Area Army “Oka” 岡, finally to the 29th Army “Tei” 定 in Malaya.
