    wooden ammo cases

    hello guys

    i have this ammo cases,, i now they are japanese , but for what,,

    i think the third one was also used for loding on the back off the soldier,,

              Sorry - but the IJA used wooden crates for many, many things. Most always have painted kanji on the outside to label the contents but yours look to have been sanded or water blasted and all marking is gone now. The padded tops are often carried with that surface against a soldiers back but those type usually have leather shoulder straps too.

              Just NO WAY to really know contents without markings (inside or out) - anything else is just a guess.

              But they are nice to store your japanese collectibles in for sure
