    First Attempt at Antique Shopping

Tried antique shop browsing for the first time and found some stuff, but nothing I'd buy:

    1. A really poor quality late war shingunto - $700 - Yow!!! Pass on that
    2. A "civil war" sabre - $1,150 - Yow!!! pass on that
    3. A legit naval dirk, but poor blade and no saya - $250 - pass
    4. A WWI German army cigar case - $80 - not interested

Sigh - This is going to take some time!

Not a bad group to find, imo. It seems like the vast majority of antique shops, malls I visit have little to nothing to stumble on, but it is the hunt that makes it worth it. I call Denver home when I am in the US, and I more often than not find things at the Tanner gun show or the Frontier Gallery on Broadway. Once found a nice late war T94 with canvas holster for a great price at Gunsmoke when they were still open. Always hit and miss it seems. Good luck in the hunt!

Though I try to hit antique stores when I visit new places and check out the local antique malls every now and then, it seems like it has been some 10 years since I found any militaria worth buying in one.
