    Shin-gunto for review

Hello all, I have the opportunity to pick this up. I would appreciate any opinions, good or bad. Unfortunately, these are the only pics I have been provided at the moment but it looks like it could be good. In the main pic, it is the sword on the left, however both are available. Any suggestions of value would also be appreciated. Thank you in advance!

Fairly certain the signature is Noshu ju Ido Hidetoshi, but the lower kanji are barely discernible save an odd stroke. The left hand sword is a bit of a Frankenstein in that it has Showa period tachi style tsuba and hilt but the wrong saya, which is from a 1944 pattern sword. Blade looks ok though. I'd check the hole in the tsuka aligns correctly with that in the tang, as the handle might have been married up too?

The shorter sword looks more interesting
The hidetoshi is a machine made oil quenched blade in mixed fitting so unless cheap I don't think worth buying
            $400 ish
Try and get photos of the other blade

                        Old sword taken to war
How long is the blade tip to notch on the back edge in a straight line
