    Comments regarding authenticity of flag please

    Guys

    Just acquired this from a UK collector. I don't have much buying experience with these. It looks OK to me...silk, tabs in corners, authentic-looking brushed kanji etc but I know these are faked and the previous keeper bought it in the US from the trade, so no provenance. Does it look OK to you Japanese fluent readers?

    If anyone can tell me what those large kanji say, I'd be very pleased but main purpose of post is to authenticate.

    It looks good to me. Two large kanji on right: 献身 (ken shin) 'Self-sacrifice' (It can also be translated as 'devotion' or 'dedication.')
    Two large kanji on left: 報國 (hou koku) 'Serving the Nation'

    To the far left are three kanji that appear to be the artist's signature. 'Written by --' and a red stamp. Cannot see the name clearly in this photo. Maybe Uraki (浦木)?
