It looks to be for the 5th Border Garrison Unit:
Formed in Horumojin, Manchuria 9 Mar 1939

Do you know off hand if this is coming directly out of China?

Hi Tom, thanks for the reply. The seller is US based. Does it look like a Chinese fake? Or just wondering with the Manchurian connection, if it's just leaving China now?

It seems to me like it has that fresh out of the ground look to it. I was wondering the latter (although with the less than stellar track record I have seen with items coming out of China, I do wonder....).
