      Mr. Chen

Based upon the little that I know about awards, these do appear to be Chinese/ related breast stars. Mr. Chen may be able to read or Rich C. might
possibly fill us in on these.

P.S. I really like the looks of the Neal work!

        Initial comments:
        1. That colourful one with a fish is an old Chinese ( mainland China) medal. I will write more informations of which year as it has been written at the back using the Chinese calender so need to convert .
Basically it is an award badge to a person who wins 2 higner titles in the national examination conducted by the government.

        2. That one with a president is a Republic of China( Taiwan) medal . Will do some translation when back home.

The Reverse side of that medal (with a fish):
According to the wordings, it stated in Hsien Feng ( 1851-62) period ( which is within the Qing Dynasty: China last dynasty; The most famous event in this period is the Taiping rebellion..) , there were 216 cadidates sitting sit for the national examination.
That guy won 2 titles. His county and State which he lives also engraved.

This medal looks like to dedicate an peacetime event rather than combat related.

Not really sure, but these look to be fakes (especially the first one with the human figure in the center). I think they are made-up medals--not even replicas of established orders.
I could be wrong... I'm not great with Chinese orders. However, I have seen similar pieces that sell for $10-$20, if that.

I just translate as I am no expert in Chinese medals.

Yeah both are modern fantasies sold on ebay or auction houses. I would avoid these medals.
