Navy armband for review

I am being offered this armband fo $100. Is it an original Japanese ww2 navy armband and is it worth $100?

Imo, the information available from the pic. makes it too vague to be called an IJN armband. From what I can tell, there are no defining features to the anchor that would point to a specific IJN naval base, no presence of a cherry blossom, and no kanji to point to any kind of specific unit. Is there any kanji on the reverse of the armband? As it stands, I personally would not pay that much for what is being offered.

I agree. That's a very generic anchor. Not one I'd consider as Japanese
