      thank you, I yet times the ship could not do finden.google.de.Das however is very sad. it was nevertheless a large ship by US - uboot was sunk now think I can I further search I had some photo Germans with Japanese on travel.

          Converted to Aircraft Carrier in late 1942

          renamed Chuyo.

          versenkt on 4 Dec 43 North of Truk

          by USS Sailfish
          (SS-192).

                Hans,

                Glad I could be of some assistance.

                I also learned the TSS Nitta Maru was used as a "Hell Ship" transporting prisoners of war from Wake Island to Japan.

                Interesting information on Sailfish too. I believe the conning tower display was relocated since the photo of the display was taken. I will double check this the next time I am in Portsmouth, New Hampshire which is only about an hour and a half drive away from where I live.
