Type 97 Volt/Amp Meter

Here is a small Type 97 Volt/Amp Meter.

Its usage remained a mystery to me but I suspected it had something to do with telephone communications.

Just the other day I received a heap of IJA manuals including communication manuals.

I found this page illustrating this particular meter.

Can anyone please be kind enough to translate the important parts that will shed light on this meter and its usage.

I can't help with the translation, But I though I would share this amp/volt meter that I just picked up from a local dealer. It looks just like the illustration, although mine is missing the crystal.

I have since been enlightened to the fact that one can use Google Translate by drawing the Kanji character and selecting the correct match. One can then build sentences etc. I find though that to get the best results one has to check also the Chinese translation as well.

I have yet to get the time to attempt to translate so of this.
