I just picked this up & don't know anything about these?The vet told me that the wooden piece has the Japanese guys name & address on it.Its hard to make out in the pictures.Any opinions & whats it worth?

Looks like a nice original, unmolested aluminum hilted top latch NCO sword...getting tougher and tougher to find. I was fortunate enough to have a nice one walk into my shop last year w/ pierced brass tsuba. Does your scabbard’s SN match the SN on the blade? (a matching sn'd scabbard will most certainly add to its value). The capture tag is also a nice feature. Congrats on a nice pick.Comment

Good Dan. A quick on line search should net you a good general price range for an original WWII Japanese NCO sword w/ matching scabbard with which to gauge your example. Good luck.Comment
