    Probably this guy: http://www.japaneseswordindex.com/oshigata/kanetsug.jpg

Sho stamped arsenal non-traditionally made sword. Late war, poor fittings. One of the many Seki smiths producing arsenal swords during the war.
It is oil quenched, and not Gendaito. It is ok for display, probably for around $750 or so?
Check the Seki Tosho list here: http://www.jp-sword.com/files/seki/gendaito.html
    Brian,

    Do you mean
    <table style="border-collapse:collapse;" align="center" bgcolor="#009632" cellpadding="4" cellspacing="0" width="476"><tbody><tr bgcolor="#009632"><td align="center" valign="top" width="299">
    兼継 (Kanetsugu)
    </td> <td align="center" valign="top" width="161">
    前川 源一
</td></tr></tbody></table>Maekawa Gen'ichi ??? The oshigata adds 住 "jū"; and -- it looks like it was cut by a different hand, but all that was common.

    Thanks for your help.
