Posting a family blade in gunto mounts with high ranking knot. It seems to be a very old blade. 21 inches long. Has not been resharpened or pitted but no temper line. Any thoughts on the translation/age? Being offered it for close to $2000. Does that seem reasonable or too much? Phone is not cooperating with pictures, but rough guesses are even appreciated. Blade is 21 inches long. I will be getting this or the possible Generals sword. Trying to decide.

Hiromasa? Looks like it's in good shape. I can't comment on whether the signature is genuine or Gimei. I'd go after the other sword you posted assuming it's in nice shape as well. Please share some more pictures of the one you're referring to as the generals attribution. I'll try working on the translation but I imagine someone will beat me to it.Comment
