Cool WW2 Army officers sword with real old blade

I just picked this sword up , i think this is the oldest blade ive had in a military sword. Dont know much about these but i buy them when i can. The tang is not signed. Thanks for any help i may be able to get. Curious how old the blade is?

It is impossible to accurately date this blade from just pictures. The tyoe of steel utilized along with the jigane(grain) and hamon(temper) need to be studied in hnad. From the shape of the blade, I would guess late 1500"s to early 1600's.

With the short length of the nakago that looks ubu (original), possibly uchigatana?
