Nice T 90 with needlework on chinstrap

Thought I would share a few pics of my latest Type 90 with a nice bonus bit of needlework on the chinstrap.I am assuming it is the owners name.No size marking but liner pad stamping looks like Showa 18 (1943) I always enjoy the slight paint differences coupled with the slight variations in color and the different styles and shades of the touch ups as it keeps things interesting.Happy Hunting! I cannot make any sense of the name. It displays properly when, as an arrow, the strap end points to the right. To me, the name looks like

          ヨシンバウ
          Yoshinbau

Which is not Japanese. .... So apparently I'm missing something! "Yoshi" is part of a Japanese name .... but not the rest, as far as I know.

          Another puzzle to me.

Nick? Are your ears burning???? We're calling forth the Spirit of Nick ..... Arise, Nick, and grace our group; disperse the clouds of uncertainity that heavily hang over this seance.

          We call forth Nick-The-Educator, Nick-Destroyer-of-Uncertainty, ..... Nick-the-Man.

OOOooooooOOOOoooOOOoooOOOooo [insert "The Twilight Zone" theme music here] ......

            Nice helmet Geoff,
I am like you, I really like the small subtle differences with these helmets.

I don't know how to rotate photos on an I phone to get it oriented correctly, but the ウ in Guys take looks like a 六 to me, which would read together 六番署 or 6th Precinct station(police). Possibly post war police use.

It may also be from WW2 Kempei but I don't know whether their unit designations pararelled that of police
Sorry for the false flash of hope, just checked Kempei had different unit designations so Kempei is ruled out.

                      Nick,

Thanks! That makes sense. My problem is trying to read in the post-war direction, from left to right.

                      六番署
                      Rokuban-sho

                      With katakana:
                      六バンショ

Or, as it appears on the strap:
                      ヨシンバ六

Thank you for the info! I would never have thought of these helmets being used by the police but I'm sure many items were pressed into service as they were already at hand here is a little better image of the stitching.
