help with Japanese trousers

Hello, can anyone tell me what I have here, are they shorts trousers or breeches, and would they be worn with puttees or without? Are they tropical issue? They look like shorts until you put them on a manequin and then you can see how long they are. They are 43 dated. They are a light green colour and not sandy as they may appear in the pictures. Any help appreciated. Douglas

Hi, As Bruno mentioned these are 3/4 trousers. These are the standard issue tropical breeches and puttees were meant to be worn with them. Its hard to get the proper pant length and then put the puttees on with a "normal" size mannequin.
