    Another NCO sword for review

    Hi Guys
I'm back again asking for your help. I would be very grateful for your opinions on the NCO sword.
    Thanks in advance
    Frank

            Hi Brian
Could you point out the red flags on this sword please?
            Thanks

              Hi Frank,

Lots of flags... No seppa (washers next to tsuba), numbers on the scabbard drag. Really bad, as in fake arsenal mark. Overall shape is wrong, scabbard again is too wide and curve is off. Handle details have issues too.

Live with your nice one for a while, handle and observe it and the junk will become more obvious.

              Best, Rod

Indeed it is and quite an ugly one at that.

                  Regards,

Immediate indicators to me were the font of the blade numbering (too "Western" and looking like from commerical number stamps) and the groove starting too far from the habaki. A lot of it is from gut feel after seeing many of them over the years. Hard to explain sometimes.
