They are good to Japanese eyes as well, just too good. The point is whether non-Japanese will now be able to recognize his hand or not.

I will no, and that is why I do not buy one, too scared that it would not be original, unless it is from someone reliable especially here on the Forum. If any one hads a good original one I am interested thanks

A couple of fakes form a few years a go. The rising sun flag has just a list of Tokyo tube stations with JAPAN written in the middle, pretty hilarious.

All these flags were made by an Ebay seller in Japan who added all the writing to plain flags. He sold them all as reproduction, but the buyers who wanted to scoop up a fast deal, blew right past the one small mention that it was a modern signed flag. I Have now seen these flags being resold as genuine. All different layouts, but same writing / style / slogans / names. He sold about 50-100 in about a year. It appears now he is back to selling the flags that he gets as blanks. Maybe his conscience caught up with him? In any case, these are now out there, I could only capture pictures of about half of them. Here is a flag that used to be blank, but now is a signed flag. If you study it carefully, you will see its the same flag.
