    "Conservation framed"Japanese silk flag

    Hi

I had this very nice Japanese silk flag framed and I'm very pleased with the result. I chose to have it "Conservation framed" more expensive than the conventional method. But imho the only option for preservation of historic objects. the glass is 99% UV resistant, all materials are acid free and ph neutral. As you can see the flag takes pride of place in our sitting room. I would also like to acknowledge the help and advice I received from Paul G. A big thank you to Paul

    I hope you like it.

    Regards

    Frank

Looks Fantastic Frank I agree, archival/conservation framing is the only way to go. It will help protect the items we cherish for future generations to enjoy. Be careful, as these flags like to attract others..... before you know it, you will have a whole family of flags on the wall, sort of like a family portrait wall. Very nicely done.

            Thank you

            Hi
            Thank you very much gentlemen.
I do appreciate your kind words. This is a very exciting day in two ways for me, the first is...my wife has agreed for the flag to be hung in our sitting room, for years I have come up against a brick wall with regards displaying my Third Reich items outside our bedroom, so I'm over the moon, as the saying goes "One small step for man, a giant step for Frank"

Secondly This is my first Japanese item, I always admired the rayed sun design and now I have one, so I'm very happy.

            All the best
            Frank

I'd very much like a Japanese sword next

                Frank
PS I'll need to think about the dinner

I chose the high gloss black frame to contrast against the Laura Ashley wallpaper :yelrotflmao: I'll be sure to tell my wife you like the wallpaper
