    Japanese blade, parts, tang signature

    I just received this from a new customer. It looks semi old.
    Any help with the signature appreciated!!

    Rust Damage! total length 11.5 inches, blade edge 8.5 inches.

    tang signature is "兼房"，there are many called "兼房" in Japanese sword smiths.this blade is not too old,about 200 years old.

      Just for future reference the kanji are read in this direction.
