Japanese Red Cross?

Hello,I picked up this banner this morning..not really sure what it is,but it was cheap enough,so I took a gamble.

It measures about 34"x13",and is made of a linen like material.The edges are unsewn,and I see no other markings besides the obvious.

Came in the envelope shown,which has a handwritten note on it saying "Red Cross Parade,Jun 39"

I do not know if I have it facing the right direction in the photo,sorry!
Can anyone pease tell me more about it,or at least what it says?
Google searching has gotten me nowhere.

Sekijūji Hyaku-Nen + Sai Kinen Taikai
Red Cross 100-Year Celebration Memorial Tournament

Japanese Red Cross was established in 1877.

After looking at it more,the writing on the envelope looks more like Korean to me..But Im just taking a wild guess

So it's from 1977!!???
Hahah...dang.
I guess some people will do anything to make a sale-the note on the envelope says 1939
Oh well-still looks neat,and I guess $10 isnt much of a loss!

It is a style of calligraphy used in China, Korea, and Japan called 隷書体 Reishotai, "Clerical Script."
