    Both are very interesting pieces and I'm glad you have shown them.

    I'm wondering if that hamon would be classified as Hitatsura? My understanding of Hitatsura is that it's a hamon with numerous Tobiyaki. Tobiyaki being small islands so to speak of tempered steel that appear above the hamon.

    Perhaps Bob Coleman will see this and offer an opinion.

      I would call this a mild form of hitatsura as we see some tempe3r on the mune and scattered temper on the ji. I must compliment the owner on his photography of both blades.
