    Headgear help needed

    Good day Guys

This is my first post in this part of the forum. German items are my collecting focus so I would really appreciate some help with the following Japanese items that I found for sale locally. Are they period WW2?

Your field cap is a Mitsubishi factory workers. The helmet is an excellent, unissued example & the army officers service dress cap is a type 45 model

The Army officer's dress cap is a moth magnet, if you have moth around your place best to seal it in a plastic bag.

The Mitsubishi cap is a lot better quality than you usually see.
            Nice cap.

I ;ike the helmet, its in great condition. Its also a size small, which seems to me, to be less common.

Agree about moths. Every piece of cloth I buy goes in my freezer for a few days then into a sealed, large Tupperware with moth balls of cedar wood. Regarding helmet, photograph Showa date ink stamp on reverse of liner pads

That's excellent Jareth! Sure beats the heartache of moth damage.
