Does anyone know of some cheap cord, ( para cord?) of the rite width to practice wrapping the handle? Also I would like to know if the leather same skin on a navy scabard can be fixed, it shrunk up & came apart.

When I was a kid and making japanese swords in wood ,I used shoelaces.
Otherwise You can find cheap ito from China on ebay.

About the shrunken same on saya. Its possible to glue back on , but there will be a gab. Thats beyond repair.
