If it were police, wouldn't they just cover up the anchor?

If it were a mum absolutely, but an anchor, not necessarily. With an item like that you are pretty much in Fantasy Land already, so it helps to keep all options open until you confirm the ID rather than close doors by second guessing.

Is it possible to see a close up of the anchor? IMO, this helmet is legit until proven otherwise.

tsukasa - 司 = director, official, govt office, rule, administer

            Interesting exchange.

The helmet in post 8 has an army liner in an amy shell. The liner in post 9 is suspect and looks to be army as well.

Yes and....? Are you saying only army liners were pieced together?

It was being used as an example of what a navy liner should or could be?

The helmet in post #9 is Army and mine. I have owned it for 21 years. Got it from Barry Smith.

Material used, finishing process, & army have 3 row stitching in back. The material looks navy on my phone. Will look when I get home on bigger screen.

What do you think of this liner? Think it's fake?

No, doesn't look fake to me, if it was, someone would have said so on the thread - I like it.
