brian seemed to think #1 wasnt an old blade thats why i asked if it had a double habaki

Yep, that is something to consider.
#2 Also has a non-standard habaki. If he's lucky, both are Gendaito. Or maybe #2 is a Showato made for Iai.
Won't know more until we see the nakago. Good to be able to spot these little indicators though.
