Almost exactly a year ago, I was able to add a nice US Navy captured Japanese flag to my collection. The flag came with period photographs of the sailor who acquired the flag along with pictures of his buddies posing with it. Also, the little grouping had a named Capture certificate with it. A couple of weeks ago, I got a message through WAF, from a gentleman who had purchased a large pile of US Navy clothing from WW2. The only named piece of clothing was this jumper, with the stenciled name H.J. LaSauce in it. He googled the name and found my inquiry on WAF about this sailor. He contacted me, and now the US Navy Jumper is part of the grouping. I was overjoyed to bring these items back together after such a long period of time. In the process, I was able to get this information about the sailor, from a helpful member here at WAF. This is all part of what makes this forum so awesome. Thanks to all that have helped
