..Hi guys and janeses collectors,just found this medal/order and it seems to be Japanese but i know near nothing about Japanese medals..
Please i need your help with this one...what is it,period etc....

That is a pre-war 3rd Class Order of the Sacred Treasure in a special presentation box for foreign recipients.

Any idea about a range value for this pre-war 3rd Class Order of the Sacred Treasure in a special presentation box for foreign recipients.

Going by the 4 rivet construction, the style of writing inside the box lid and the orange stripe, I would guess the Taisho period around WWI, but with Japanese orders, there is little consensus as to when the minute changes came about, so it is difficult to say with any precision. Anyway, closer to WW1 rather than WW2

See here an example of a foreigner who received his 3rd class Order of the Rising Sun in 2009. Made his day for sure.
