Japanese Samurai Swords Help

I was recently offered these. Bare with me as the pictures are quiet possibly the worst to grace this site. I know absolutely nothing about Japanese militaria and swords so this is a double threat. But i was offered these and was wondering if anyone can tell if these are legitimate and a fair price to pay for them.

alright. This is of the katana i believe. Its hard because I'm going on the pictures i was provided. The camera work isn't the greatest.

Both are genuine Japanese swords. We need close-up pictures of both tnags in a vertical position with the butt of the tang down and the top towards the point down. It would also be helpful to have pictures of the blade with close ups of the points.

As Bob requested more and better photos to get a better opinion , I think from the photos the tang has been cut down. So nothing wrong with the shape and color.

The 2 swords also looks complete and thats a big +

I'm just curious. Normally when a tang was shortened for re-fitting the mounts how often was the same mekugi Ana (peg hole) able to be used?If there was not a substantial amount of the tang removed wouldn't there be more than one mekugi Ana?

Everything looks original from what I can see.

But it is not going to be possible to determine if they have been messed with as far as are the Tsuba and other fittings original Samurai-era as well as original to the piece, and also the condition and quality of workmanship of the blades.

Even with the best photos, remote opinions are not an easy undertaking, and it's pretty clear that this guy's camera is just not up to the task.

I don't buy swords based on photos, but if I did, I would be very interested in these two swords.
