need help with artillery shell value

I don't usually collect Japanese artillery related items, but something recently popped up that seems interesting: It is a complete 75mm shell for a Type 88 anti aircraft gun (complete and demilled--paint is bright and mostly there). Does anyone have a price point on something like this? I have looked around and saw one sell for $600 at auction about 5 years ago, but that is the only number that has popped up. Thanks for any help with this!

You are in the right price range. $400 to $600 here in the US market. Low end for repaints, high end for a complete excellent specimen. Most of the value is in the projectile. The case (about 19 inches in length) is worth $100 to $125.

Although I know virtually nothing about ordinance I would guess the larger the round the harder to find intact, and with original paint even more so! You just couldn't stick them in your backpack! G.
