Saki cups

A friend bought three army saki cups at a Sunday market. They seem to be made of a very light wood. He believes they are likely pre-WW2 and not modern productions.

It is an original item from the Imperial Guards when they got a donation from the emperor. Unit details are around the rim of the cup not shown in the photo
