    interesting inscription on Sword Blade

    Hello Guys,

I saw this inscription on a sword blade most times are Chinese fakes with nonsense words but this one seems to be real. Can anyone help me?

    thanks,

Engravings are very well done with nice balance. With that said ... they don't mean anything (that I can find) in Japanese -- except the first two kanji.

    自衛
    self-defense

    陀武龍
    steep-bank, martial, dragon

    羅亭磨
    gauze/net, cottage, improve/polish.

Maybe they mean something in Chinese? A poem??

This is not the form of writing I would expect to find on a genuine Japanese blade. Kanji on the sword mune is not normal. Writing is usually on the hi side and also written in Sandskrit. I think you have found another Chinese copy with a new twist on presentation.
