    Navy Wireless Telegraph School Fob

I picked up this Navy wireless telegraph school fob this past weekend.

On the obverse are a golden kite over a globe with a map of the Japanese Islands and a telegraph antenna with radio waves radiating from the antenna. Underneath the wings of the kite are kanji that translate to "Wireless Telegraph." At the very bottom of the fob are the Arabic numerals "2602" which is for "1942."

The reverse has an anchor with a cherry blossom in the center of the anchor and is inscribed with kanji that translates to "Wireless Telegraph Training Student; 60th Session Advanced Communications Course; Navy Communications School."

Fobs such as this one could be obtained by sailors at the Post Exchange after graduation.
