Arisaka 99 battlefield bringback

Just picked this up from my boss's friend. The guy's dad took this rifle off a Japanese solider who was killed, so it goes. Rifle is a kokura series 24 type 99. It's 100% matching and has every piece minus the dust cover. Nice thing is the mum is intact ans bore is immaculate.

Nice rifle. Did you get any information on the US soldier who brought it back? If so, maybe you can figure out where he picked it up.
