    Tin box + wooden stamps

    Hi,

My latest addition: a tin box + 3 wooden stamps.

The scale is in centimeters and as you can see the vet or a kid added a nazi touch on one of the stamp.

    Chinese characters?

The 1st character on the right seems to be "army"

1st stamp (the black ink inside of the box can still be used, unlike the black one!):

2nd stamp, the stamp itself is full of dried ink and barely readable but there is a printed tag on each of them:
    2nd kanji = flow, river?

    3rd: ? ? ? 1775

I'm thinking that it could be some stamps used on techo but I may be far from the truth.
    So thanks for any input.

    Best regards,
    Cyril

Nice private purchase stamp box for a navy plane mechanic, named Kiitsu Ichikawa personal number 17557 at the Yokosuka base. The oval signet is in a different name, Sato, so that does not belong in the box. The reverse of the lid is Emperor Meiji's Rescript to Soldiers and Sailors. The stamps could be used to stamp your name in the uniform, etc

Thank you one more time Nick!
At least these stamps are not going to be used to make fakes.
